This is the time of year that the rolling hills and wide open spaces in Texas are all a bloom with pretty blue bonnet flowers.
While here in California I think everything is finally blooming after all the rain fall we have been lucky enough to get the past few months.
Unfortunately, what comes along with the pretty flowers and green grasses of California is the dreaded ALLERGY season!
Now I have never really had an allergy problem, but my husband and children have real bad allergies. So it came a rather unpleasant surprise to me that there is something in bloom right now in my part of Cali that is making life miserable.
Now I really can’t complain too much, I mean I don’t have the constant congestion sneezing that the rest of the family has, but when whatever it is that is blooming right now blows in my direction I get a long lasting bloody nose. That I CAN complain about.
Now I have always been allergic to dust and mold, but nothing bad. A couple of sneezes and away I go. But this year is royally kicking my nose around.
Take meds you say? I am not one to take medication. I hate taking pills. I do have some that I have to take every morning, thanks to getting older yuk! But I try to draw the line there. So I deal with it, try to stay inside air filter areas and not wonder outside if I can help it. So much for working in my vegetable garden today.
So to everyone that has to deal with allergies, I fell ya friend, I feel ya.
