Do you believe in the paranormal? Spirits, ghosts and unsettled souls? Have you ever had a paranormal experience? I would love to hear about it. I myself was raised in a haunted house. It was haunted by one of the young boys that used to live there before my parents bought it. On his 21st birthday he got a motorcycle and raced it down to the end of the street. There was a large busy intersection there and he was hit and died.
From the time we moved into the house odd things would happened. Oh, thing really weird, but strange enough. There was a long hall closet with sliding doors and periodically they would start to bang together rather loudly for no apparent reason. Nobody walked by them, the air condition didn’t suddenly come on. Sometimes dished in the kitchen cabinets would rattle. They never broke, but would just clap together.
I got older and moved away, got married and my husband and I finally bought our first home. Little did we know it to was haunted. Of course I didn’t know this until my children got older and told me what they had been seeing over the years.
There was a little girl and her younger brother that would jump up and down on my daughter’s bed or startle her in the hallway when she would come out of the bathroom. Not scare her, but just suddenly appear in front of her.
There was one time, when our daughter was in her teens and playing music loudly was normal. I kept telling her to turn it off it was late. She would turn off the stereo and all would be quiet for a few moments. Then it would be back on. So we yelled at her again to turn it off. She said she did, but turned it off again anyway. Once again all was quiet. Then again the music came back on. So I went in her room and unplugged the darn thing. Mad as hell because I thought she wasn’t listening to me. The music came right back on while I was still standing in her room. Stereo unplugged, no battery backup. My teenage daughter slept in my room that night.
A few years more down the road and our son was in high school. He’s our oldest. Then he starts to tell me the things he sees in the house. A flaming screaming head floating in his room then flew out of the room through the wall. He said this would happen quite often, he just stopped paying attention to it. Then he would see a little girl hiding behind a chair in our living room all the time.
As the kids got into their late teens we all started noticing things around the house. We would be watching TV in the living room and things would go flying off the shelf and onto the kitchen floor. Just one item or two. We would have a laugh and put it back.
Another young family member came to live with us and even he too was noticing the little girl and boy jumping up and down on the bed as well as a man that would just hang out in our garage.
None of this ever really bothered us, but as time has gone by and I met a wonderful talented person that said she could cleanse the house and help them move on. I couldn’t pass up the chance to let these poor souls move on.
Since that day my children, when they come to visit, no longer see the trapped souls that once made our home theirs. No though, I have an older woman that stands in the doorway of my mother’s room and watches over her.
I think I will let her stay, she is a comforting old soul.
