Horse names and hand cramps

Sorry about not posting anything up on the Blog last night.  I was working on my novel all day.  So by the evening, my hand was cramping.  Working on a new chapter 12 now.  It was chapter 13, but I went back and wrote a new chapter.  It can get confusing sometimes.

Sometimes I will go all the way back to the beginning and change a name or a place or a character trait.  I think it might drive my editors crazy, because I will ask them to read a few chapters to get their opinion to see if I am on the right track with a story.  Then a few days later I will ask them again and they will have to read it ALL over again because I changed things.

As long as the story flows, makes sense, and most of all, entertains and captivates the reader, then I am happy.  I am the most critical of my work.  If I am not happy with it, I will rewrite it.  I will nit pick at it.  Sometimes my editors have to pound it into my head that it is fine the way it is. Or its great, don't change a thing.  It has to feel right to me.

I am always looking for unusual names for characters in my novels.  The other day my number one fan and I were texting back and forth for a good name for a horse.  We did come up with quite a few funny ones.  Here are some that didn't make the cut.

Chestnut, Peanut, Windbreaker (really not a good name LOL) Root Beer Float, Daisy, Cream, Zippy, Zipper. you get the idea.  Finally settled on two names for twin horses. One boy one girl.  I think you will agree the names are going to fit the characters I have in mind, but you will have to wait to read about them when I get this one published later this year.

In the meantime, you should read my other novels.  This last one in the series will tie into the first three.  Just as the first three all tie in together.
