What this Super Bowl meant to me.

On this Super Bowl Sunday I did what I normally do.  Watch the commercials and prepare snacks.  I absolutely love to cook.  When I am nervous or stressed, cooking and driving always relax me. I love cooking and share recipes all the time.  Today was pretty easy.

It started with homemade guacamole, salsa and chips.  Got to have the basics right?  Then we get into a little more work, not to much though.  It wouldn't be a Super Bowl party without the cocktails wienies in BBQ sauce and the turkey meatballs in homemade chunky marinara right?  From there we go to the pizza bagels, cheese and meat tray and of course the one item that most house holds don't do, Buffalo Sliders.

I'm not talking about mini beef patties on a small roll here. I'm talking about fresh ground free range, shot in the wild, grass fed buffalo.  Add a bit of my house seasoning mix and a few other items and the best tasting sliders in town are all the rage.  Then of course, you have the Hawaiian Rolls to slide them into.  Serve with all the fix'ins and you have some happy tummys around here.

My daughter told me not to plan a dessert she had a recipe that she wanted to try.  Chocolate Lava Cake made in a slow cooker.  Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm.  Let me tell you that was the best, richest moistest dessert.  If you had a chocolate craving one bite of this will cure it.

this household, being as my husband and I were both born in Texas, are a Dallas Cowboy football house.  So we really didn't care which team won, but you kind of had to figure that the Denver Bronco were going to win.  The altitude that the team normally practices at is so high, that when the come down to our sea level to play, they probably have so much oxygen running through their system they could feel like they could almost fly.

So congrat's to the Super Bowl 50 Champion's, but for me, it was all about the good times with friends, family and the food. We won't mention how it was pointed out that I am older than the Super Bowl.
