Why I write novels

When I run into people that i haven't seen for awhile (years) they are surprised to hear that I am a author/writer.  They never thought of me doing that.  I was/am a truck driver for the past 5 years with my husband.  Before that I did accounting.  I was always good with numbers.

This picture on the left is a dream that my husband and I have.  It is to own a few acres with some animals in a log cabin (not with the animals of course they need a barn).  Not necessarily this particular cabin design, but something simple and comfy.

I can just visualize us sitting by a large fireplace in the winter time. Snow on the ground outside and a a warm drink next to us.  Sometimes in the dream it is hot tea or hot chocolate, other times it is something a little stronger. LOL

I would have a small secluded desk somewhere in the loft so I can hide away and write my novels, undisturbed.  There would be a window where I can occasionally glance outside and see the deer walking along the edge of the forest or see the cows wandering around the pasture.  Maybe a few ducks making a nest and teaching the little ducklings to swim near a small pond on the property.

In the winter the ground would be blanketed with a layer of snow, making it perfect for the holidays.  In the spring and summer there would be green grass and flowers along with calves and colts to watch learning.

Ahhh.  That is the reason I write.  Until 2012 I never kept or let anyone read things that I would write.  It was very personal and I didn't want to share it. I think embarrassment is the word I am looking for right now.  But when someone (My cousin and number one fan) read Fears Revenge she strong armed me (and harassed me) into publishing it.  Now it is listed in the Hollywood Database for producers / directors / actors to review when they are looking for a new project. I do know that it was reviewed by Thruline Entertainment at one point. but they didn't have a project for it at that time.  So it's still there ready for the next reviewer.  I on the other hand, am not holding my breath.  LOL

I went on to write and publish the 2nd novel in the series "Return to Lily Cove".  Then in August of last year (2015) I released the 3rd in the series "Gabrielle, lost".

Now as you have read, if you follow my daily blog,  I am working on the 4th and final novel in the series "Feathers in the Wind".  I hope to have this one out later this year.

Each novel is different.  the first was a Thriller / Suspense story.  The second, a Paranormal / Drama / Romance story. The third was a Crime / Mystery / modern day Romance story.  Now this one I am writing now is a murder mystery with a little romance thrown in. Just a touch, not much.

I do have 2 other stories in the works, but I put them aside to focus on Feathers in the Wind.  They will be worked on after I get this one finished.  So I will be around a while with some great stories to curl up with by and open fire and a cup of hot tea or a tall glass of wine, depending on your taste buds.

So if you follow my blog, but haven't read any of my books, WHAT STOPPING YOU?  Click on the books link above and check them out.  They are great life like stories, just read what they are saying on Goodreads.com and Amazon.

Pick up a copy or one or all three and enjoy the stories of Allison, Lillian and Gabrielle.  Catherine will be here soon.  And help make my dream come true as well.

Thank you for visiting my website and reading my daily blog.
