As of today I still have not figures out how to get my story from where it is right now the ending I already have ready in my head.  It has been almost a month now and I still haven’t figured out the next steps.  Hmmm   Maybe I am thinking about it too much?
So I tried a new recipe.  I always resort back to cooking to get the creative juices flowing again.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. None the less, I find it relaxing.

Today, I tried something new.  It started with croissant dough.  So once I had that dough done.  Quite a chore in itself, but so worth it. And of course you won’t find the recipe for traditional croissants on any dieters list. LOL

Then I looked in my spice cabinet to see what I could come up with.  So here it is:

 ½ cup white sugar.
Heaping tablespoon of cocoa powder
 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
 ½ teaspoon nutmeg
 ½ teaspoon ground ginger.

I mixed that up really well.  It smelled wonderful in my kitchen at this point.
Then I laid out each triangle croissant and brushed it with melted butter.  Then spread the seasoning mixture on top of that and rolled it up.

So after I completely used up all the dough and I had a sheet full of these little tasty treats,  I placed them in a 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes or so.  Until they were golden brown and flaky.

Oh my God! Let me tell you, this was a slice of heaven right out of the oven. I will definitely be making these again, but I think I will make larger triangles and maybe use a small piece of dark chocolate in the center as well.

So, no, I didn’t find a solution to the writer’s block but I did make up a tasty new recipe.  Not bad for a bored day’s work.
